Renault Master has taken the top position in Europe’s large van segment in 2026, with the E-Tech electric range gaining bidirectional charging and vehicle-to-grid capability from September. A new mid-nickel 87 kW/h battery, a 40 kW/h chassis-cab and recycled dashboard plastic form the core of the update.

The updated E-Tech battery retains 87 kW/h capacity with mid-nickel chemistry, assembled at Renault’s Batilly plant in France. Standard charging is 11 kW bidirectional, with an optional 22 kW bidirectional unit; vehicle-to-grid (V2G) compatibility arrives in select markets from September 2026.

A 40 kW/h chassis-cab joins the E-Tech range for municipal and urban use, while automatic and E-Tech versions gain adaptive cruise control and a 220V socket delivering 3,500W across both the cabin and loading area. The dashboard upper section incorporates 20% recycled plastic through The Future is NEUTRAL, Renault’s circular economy subsidiary, with plant-assembled flatbed and tipper conversions also added.

With a wide variety of products and full range of vehicles ‘converted by Renault’ directly at the plant, Renault Master became Europe’s leading large van in early 2026.”
