Renault Trafic E-Tech electric leads Hanover LCV strategy
Renault will showcase the New Trafic Van E-Tech electric at the 2026 IAA Transportation show in Hanover, a few weeks before the model’s market launch. The Renault Trafic E-Tech debut forms the centrepiece of the brand’s LCV strategy presentation on 14 September, where three vice presidents will outline Renault’s commercial vehicle direction.
The press conference, streamed live and in replay, will be led by Jan Ptacek, VP Renault LCV; Frédéric Clermont, VP Product LCV; and Zakaria Zeghari, VP Sales and Marketing LCV. Alongside the LCV strategy overview, Renault will present the New Trafic Van E-Tech electric in full detail, together with the latest news on services and conversions.

Renault Pro+ will occupy a 1,200 m² stand in Hall 13 at IAA Transportation, displaying 12 light commercial vehicles representing its full range. The display includes several converted vehicles, reflecting the breadth of Renault’s commercial upfit and services capability alongside its electric models.
The New Trafic Van E-Tech electric is due to launch commercially within weeks of the IAA Transportation show, making Hanover a key venue for Renault to present the model to fleet buyers and commercial vehicle professionals. Renault describes the IAA showing as opening a new chapter in its LCV offensive.
Why this matters:
- Displaying converted vehicles alongside the standard range signals a push toward aftermarket customisation demand.Showing several conversions suggests Renault sees fleet buyers’ need for specialised configurations, refrigeration, mobile workshops, and similar builds, as a meaningful part of its commercial vehicle sales pitch, not just a niche add-on.
- Timing the New Trafic launch just weeks ahead of market availability keeps the press event tightly tied to commercial readiness.Rather than showcasing a concept or distant future product, Renault is using IAA to build immediate momentum for a vehicle customers can soon actually order, suggesting confidence in the model’s near-term production and delivery timeline.
