Rizon has introduced a service combo body for its all-electric medium-duty truck, combining lockable tool storage with an open cargo bed on a single zero-emission chassis. The configurable unit supports cranes, ladder racks, generators, lift gates and work lighting, extending the e-truck’s reach into vocational applications requiring both secure storage and payload capacity.

The configuration addresses a longstanding constraint in vocational electric truck adoption: the requirement to choose between enclosed storage and open cargo capacity. By integrating both on a single electric platform, the combo body preserves operational patterns that technicians and tradespeople rely on without adding a second vehicle to the fleet.

In a statement, Alex Voets, General Manager, Rizon USA, said: “Commercial vehicle customers have been asking for an electric truck that doesn’t require them to change how they work. This new combo body delivers the familiar functionality fleets rely on, now on a zero-emission Rizon chassis.”

Rizon trucks currently qualify for California’s Clean Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project and Washington’s Zero-Emission Incentive Program, with point-of-sale vouchers ranging from US$60,000 to US$130,000 subject to programme and eligibility. Both schemes reduce the upfront cost that has slowed commercial electric truck adoption in vocational segments.

Rizon, operating under the Archion Group, produces class 4–5 medium-duty battery-electric vehicles ranging from 15,995 to 18,850 lbs gross vehicle weight. Range is up to 110 miles for the M variant and up to 160 miles for the L variant, with both supporting direct current fast charging and Level 2 alternating current charging.
