Seyond showcased its full LiDAR portfolio at LEAP East, the inaugural Asia-Pacific edition of the LEAP technology summit in Hong Kong, covering applications across autonomous driving, smart mobility and robotics. Co-Founder and Chief Executive Dr Junwei Bao also joined the Gulf Connect executive roundtable alongside senior global industry figures.

The exhibit featured three product series: the Falcon, built on 1550nm technology for long-range detection; the cost-effective Robin, using 905/940nm chips; and the solid-state Hummingbird, offering a wide field of view for shorter-range scenarios. Seyond also demonstrated SIMPL, its smart traffic management platform, presenting an application ecosystem spanning passenger vehicle driver assistance, urban transport and robotic perception.

LEAP East is designed to connect Asia-Pacific and Middle Eastern markets, with Gulf states channelling investment into smart cities, autonomous mobility and automation under Saudi Vision 2030. Seyond sees the summit as a platform for regional outreach and partnership development across both corridors.

The firm positions LiDAR-based 3D perception as foundational infrastructure for the digital economy, with commercial deployments extending beyond automotive into smart intersections, automated port terminals, service robots and smart manufacturing environments. Seyond’s roadmap centres on building a global partnership network to scale these applications across multiple verticals.
