Li Auto’s L9 Livis 5G intelligent cockpit platform has received the SGS Premium Performance Mark for automotive cellular communication, the first time the certification has been awarded in the automotive sector. The mark evaluates in-vehicle 5G connectivity across four key dimensions: connection stability, bandwidth capacity, weak-signal recovery, and performance under network congestion.

The SGS evaluation uses a proprietary testing protocol covering radio frequency (RF) testing and real-world network validation, measuring end-to-end connectivity rather than isolated peak speeds. Testing scenarios also span highways, suburban and remote areas, and environments including underground car parks and multi-user concurrency.

The L9 Livis 5G exceeded all four performance thresholds, demonstrating strong capability in multi-card dual-active operation, 5G-A high-bandwidth performance, intelligent network selection and low-latency service handling. These results confirm the system’s ability to maintain stable connections and efficient data transmission across diverse conditions including weak-signal environments and peak-demand periods.

SGS developed the protocol from its cellular communication and RF testing expertise, generating measurable results that allow OEMs to compare in-vehicle 5G systems on real-world operational terms. The testing framework provides a structured basis for manufacturers to communicate validated connectivity performance to buyers, fleets and regulators.
