Here Technologies and JLR expand EV charge point tie-up
Here Technologies and JLR have expanded their collaboration to connect electric vehicle (EV) drivers with compatible charge points in real time via JLR’s in-vehicle display system. Here’s EV Charge Point feature now integrates with eMobility service providers (eMSP), building on existing EV routing capabilities that already combine live charge point status with predictive availability insights.
The rollout starts in the UK and Europe, extending later to Australia and New Zealand. The feature is available to JLR’s plug-in hybrid and battery electric models built from 2020 onwards, spanning Range Rover, Defender, Discovery, and Jaguar lines, as well as the forthcoming Range Rover Electric.

The eMSP integration shows drivers only the charge points compatible with their specific vehicle, removing the need to cross-reference charging networks manually and reducing range anxiety. Here also applies AI, vehicle sensor data, and real-world testing to keep its charge point database current, supplemented by real-time feedback from charging station users.
Here is recognised across the automotive industry for its mapping, navigation, and EV solutions, providing OEMs with up-to-date charge point data drawn from multiple sources. For JLR, the collaboration supports a broader goal of reducing complexity for EV drivers and improving the premium ownership experience.
