Fleet telematics firm Targa Telematics has agreed a data integration partnership with Hyundai Connected Mobility GmbH enabling fleet operators across Europe to access native Hyundai vehicle data without additional hardware. The deal brings Hyundai data streams directly into the Targa Telematics platform, covering maintenance, stolen vehicle recovery, claims management and EV management.

Integrated data streams include real-time vehicle location, mileage, vehicle status, fuel and battery charge levels, Diagnostic Trouble Codes, tyre monitoring and other operational parameters. The partnership spans multiple vehicle generations, allowing fleet operators to manage both newer Hyundai models and earlier vehicles through a single platform.

For electrified fleets, Targa Telematics will deliver monitoring of battery charge levels, remaining driving range, charging status and energy consumption. This gives operators full visibility over both electrified and conventionally fuelled vehicles within the same platform.

The arrangement is part of Targa Telematics’ broader multi-OEM integration strategy, embedding native manufacturer data streams without the operational overhead of aftermarket hardware installation. This reduces complexity for fleet managers and eases connected fleet adoption.

The agreement is designed around the EU Data Act, with business user consent placed at its core. Targa Telematics holds TISAX Level 2 certification to meet Hyundai’s security requirements.
