A Tasking-led team including Infineon and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) has won an AWS agentic AI hackathon, earning the highest OEM purchase readiness score with a governed workflow prototype. The winning Tasking agentic AI prototype connects trusted semiconductor knowledge with compliance, testing and verification across the V-cycle.

As vehicles become more software-defined, engineering organisations face growing complexity alongside fragmented development processes. Requirements, semiconductor documentation, compliance, testing and verification are managed across distributed teams and disconnected tools, slowing development and delaying feedback.

The prototype applies governed agentic AI across the lifecycle, combining Tasking’s compliance and verification tools with trusted Infineon semiconductor knowledge. Engineers retain oversight at each stage, with auditable evidence generated throughout.

Principal Solutions Architect Travis Bone said the prototype showed how AI could orchestrate engineering tasks without sacrificing rigour or human oversight for safety-critical work, while reducing handoffs and accelerating verification. The team said the approach could extend to aerospace and defence.

The prototype was created by a team including Tasking’s Travis Bone and Felix Martin alongside DLR’s Pablo Jahnen and Infineon’s Simon Achatz. Bone said the win validated Tasking’s commitment to safety-critical software development for software-defined vehicles.
