Volvo Cars is integrating Apple Music into more than two million vehicles via an over-the-air (OTA) update, including a native launch integration in the new EX60. Eligible customers on compatible models from model year 2020 will receive up to three months of Apple Music free, redeemable through the Volvo Cars app until 6 July 2027.

Drivers of the EX60, EX90 and ES90 can access Apple Music Spatial Audio, delivered through the optional Bowers & Wilkins sound system using Dolby Atmos technology. The three models are designed with enhanced soundproofing that Volvo says creates a more controlled acoustic environment for high-fidelity playback.

The OTA update covers 11 models including the EX90, ES90, XC90, S90, V90, XC60, S60, V60, XC40, EX40 and EC40. Customers sign in with an Apple account and control playback by voice or touchscreen; new subscribers can import playlists and libraries from other services.
