Polestar has appointed Arek Nowinski to its board of directors, replacing Francesca Gamboni, who has chosen to retire from the role. Nowinski is currently head of Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific at Volvo Cars, and has previously served as President of Volvo Cars Poland, Senior Vice President of Volvo Cars EMEA, and President of Volvo Cars International Markets.

Chair Winfried Vahland said Nowinski’s commercial expertise was well suited to “a phase of model expansion and sales network development across existing and new markets.” Polestar currently sells four models across 31 markets, with a Polestar 2 successor, a compact Polestar 7 SUV, and the Polestar 6 roadster among its planned additions.
