Volvo Q2 profits rise as truck orders surge 33%
After a not particularly encouraging start to the year, Volvo Group's second quarter revenue grew 2.7% year-on-year to SEK 126.3bn (US$13.1bn), reflecting sales growth across Europe, North America and South America (Brazil). Net order intake for trucks surged 33% to 63,412 units and more than doubled in North America to 18,302, driven by increasing freight rates combined with the need for fleet replacement.
