Audi A2 e-tron debuts with 12.8 kWh/100 km efficiency
Audi has launched the A2 e-tron, claiming energy consumption of 12.8 kWh per 100 km under WLTP testing, the lowest of any Audi model in the brand’s history. Priced from €38,200 (approximately US$41,600) in Germany, the four-power-level compact will be available to order from 10 September 2026, with first deliveries in December.

Power levels range from 125 kW to 240 kW across battery sizes of 52 kWh, 61 kWh, and 84 kWh, with a maximum WLTP range of 646 km. A drag coefficient of 0.24 supports the efficiency figure, achieved through an enclosed underbody and purpose-designed aero wheels.

Standard bidirectional charging supports Vehicle-to-Load and, in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, Vehicle-to-Home via compatible DC wall boxes. The A2 e-tron is built at Audi’s Ingolstadt plant using 1,200 existing production assets and 250 redeployed robots, and reached production 21 months ahead of comparable predecessor schedules.

In a statement, Gernot Döllner, Chief Executive of Audi, said: “The A2 e-tron is more than a new model: It represents Audi’s renewal. It shows how we are rethinking premium for Europe: using resources more intelligently without compromising on quality, technology, or customer experience. Developed for the needs of our European customers and built in Ingolstadt, it demonstrates our ambition to shape the future of premium mobility.”
