Polestar has confirmed the Formula 2030 concept car, a design preview of the brand’s direction under Philipp Römers as part of a strategy targeting growth and profitability by 2030. The concept previews styling attributes for the forthcoming Polestar 2, due in 2027, and the Polestar 7.

The design team has produced an evolution of Polestar’s established Scandinavian form language, with the concept addressing exterior and interior design, materials, and sustainability. Brand-defining elements, including the Dual Blade headlights, are retained to maintain visual continuity with existing Polestar models.

In a statement, Philipp Römers, Head of Design at Polestar, said: “Polestar’s design and brand is already so strong, it was obvious we needed a bold evolution not revolution of what came before. Formula 2030 delivers this, showcasing our future while respecting brand-defining elements like the familiar Dual Blade headlights ensuring it remains recognisably a Polestar with a strong, characterful identity.”

The concept was first revealed exclusively to Polestar investors, retailers, and selected customers at a Formula 2030 strategy event at The Cube, Polestar’s headquarters in Gothenburg. Its global debut is planned for later in 2026, alongside the media drive for the Polestar 4 SUV.
