Foton will stage a major appearance at IAA Transportation in Hannover on 14 September, including the overseas premiere of the CAVAN BEACON, an intelligent heavy truck compatible with both battery-electric and hydrogen fuel-cell powertrains. The show will also mark a milestone ceremony for Foton’s 13-millionth vehicle delivery and the launch of a new European strategy.

The stand will feature seven new-energy vehicle models and six in-house-developed core components covering mainstream European transport applications. Foton has ranked first among Chinese commercial-vehicle exporters for 15 consecutive years, advancing from product-led exports to a model integrating technology, manufacturing, supply chains, and service across global markets.

Foton has secured EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval for multiple battery-electric light-duty trucks and vans, alongside VECTO heavy-duty carbon-emission certification, giving the truckmaker access to the European market. CAVAN New Energy products are being rolled out across 15 European countries, as well as Australia and New Zealand.

Between January and August 2026, Foton’s export volumes reached 149,000 units, up 44.3% year-on-year, supported by 32 overseas manufacturing facilities across Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. A Regional Parts Distribution Centre in Unna, Germany, supports a 24-hour parts-supply system across more than 1,200 sales outlets and 1,500 service points in Europe.
