GAC Motor has launched the GAC GS4 Max HEV in the Philippines, a 2.0-litre hybrid SUV combining a dedicated hybrid engine with a dual-motor system for a total combined driving range of up to 1,250 km. Priced at PHP 1,298,000 (US$20,800) with introductory pricing at PHP 1,218,000 (US$19,500) until 30 September 2026.

The GS4 Max HEV uses a 2.0-litre Atkinson-cycle dedicated hybrid engine with a 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission and a 2.1 kW/h nickel-cobalt-manganese battery, delivering 232 HP (173 kW) and 300 N·m of motor torque. The system switches between Pure Electric, Hybrid, Direct Engine Drive and Energy Recuperation modes.

The cabin is built on a 2,750 mm wheelbase and 1,901 mm body width, featuring a panoramic glass roof, zero-pressure comfort seats and flat-folding second-row seats. Safety equipment includes dual front airbags, side airbags and woven side curtain airbags, backed by a Level 2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) suite.

The interior tech includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), a 7-inch instrument cluster and a 50W wireless charger. GAC Motor supports the model with a 5-year/150,000 km basic warranty and an 8-year/150,000 km policy for the power battery, driving motor and motor control unit.
