Geotab has launched the Geotab Model Context Protocol (MCP) Connector, enabling fleet operators to access live vehicle data and trigger automated workflows directly within AI platforms including ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot. Users can query fleet data in plain language and take direct action, from creating alerts and scheduling maintenance to generating reports, all from within their existing AI environment.

The connector draws on Geotab’s fleet data infrastructure, which processes approximately 37 trillion data points a year from more than six million connected vehicles across 160 countries. Data accessible through the MCP Connector includes engine health, driver behaviour, fuel performance, route efficiency and maintenance needs.

Built on the open MCP standard, the connector is not tied to a single AI ecosystem, allowing organisations to use their existing AI environment while maintaining control over data governance and security policy. Alongside the MCP Connector, Geotab’s Ace agentic platform offers deeper AI-driven fleet management capabilities.
