Kia Corporation has won a Red Dot Award 2026: Design Concept for the Vision Meta Turismo sports sedan concept, recognised in the Cars and Motorcycles category. The award recognises the concept’s combination of cab-forward exterior design, configurable digital interaction modes and a dual-zone interior built around both driver focus and passenger comfort.

The Vision Meta Turismo made its global debut at Milan Design Week and reinterprets the grand tourer for the electric age through Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. An extreme cab-forward silhouette combines with a soft geometric surface language to produce a sports sedan exterior that the brand describes as a piece of sculpture conveying speed and technology.

Inside, the concept separates into a driver-focused cockpit and a passenger zone designed for comfort and augmented reality content. Kia’s Add-Gear modular interface links physical controls with configurable digital layers across three driving modes: Speedster, which heightens performance sensation; Dreamer, which creates a more reflective urban experience; and Gamer, for stationary, gaming-inspired moments.

The recognition extends Kia’s Red Dot record and reflects a consistent output of ‘Opposites United’ concept cars as expressions of future product thinking. Its ‘Best of the Best’ wins span the EV6 (2022), EV9 (2024), EV3 and PV5 WKNDR Concept (both 2025) and EV4 (2026), with ‘Winner’ accolades for the Concept PV1, EV2, PV5 and PV7 in 2025.
