Lotus has released an over-the-air software update for Eletre and Emeya owners across Europe, introducing Active Sound Design, Drive Setup personalisation and a range of safety enhancements. Lotus Hyper Pilot, a new assisted-driving feature for Eletre, simultaneously launches in Germany on approved motorway sections.

Active Sound Design adds dynamic performance-inspired vehicle sounds that respond to acceleration, deceleration and driving mode, creating a more immersive driving experience. Drive Setup allows drivers to save and activate preferred vehicle and driver-assistance settings with a single tap.

Both models receive improved insulation-fault monitoring, enabling earlier detection of potential issues and automatic system protection. Eletre gains refined fatigue and distraction alerts to reduce false warnings, while Emeya now displays Auto Hold status visibly when active.

Lotus Hyper Pilot combines lane centring, adaptive speed control and supervised overtaking assistance, targeting the A3, A5, A8 and A99 autobahns. Lotus became the second global and first British manufacturer to achieve UN R171 certification in March 2026, enabling the feature for everyday use.

Chief Executive Qingfeng Feng said the update reflected Lotus’ commitment to continuously improving the ownership experience through software development. German Eletre customers also receive complimentary access to a premium package for 12 months, with the window closing on 29 July 2027.
