Nissan has debuted the New X-Trail e-Power x e-4ORCE at KLIMS 2026 in Kuala Lumpur and confirmed a fourth-quarter 2026 launch in Malaysia. The model is distributed in Malaysia by Edaran Tan Chong Motor and represents the third e-Power model in the country’s Nissan lineup, following the Kicks e-Power and the Serena e-Power.

The X-Trail combines Nissan’s e-Power system — in which a petrol engine acts solely as a generator for an electric motor drive — with e-4ORCE dual-motor all-wheel control. The system manages torque and braking independently at each wheel in real time, with Nissan positioning it as a more responsive alternative to mechanical AWD systems due to the precision and speed of electric motor control.

The model joins the Serena e-Power, named MPV of the Year 2026 in Malaysia, and the Kicks e-Power, named Vehicle of the Year 2025, on the Nissan Malaysia stand at KLIMS 2026. Nissan’s booth at the show is themed around a manga-inspired recreation of Nissan Crossing Ginza, blending Japanese visual culture with the brand’s electrification positioning.
