Parkopedia is partnering with BYD to launch ParkPay, an in-car parking payment service on Android Automotive OS, targeting production vehicles in early 2027. Parking data and in-car payments feature from launch, with EV charging, tolling and reservation functionality planned for a later update.

The service will come pre-installed on the Denza Z9 GT and BYD Atto 3 Evo, with over-the-air updates extending coverage to older BYD models. When a vehicle detects parking behaviour at a supported location, drivers receive an on-screen notification that opens with the relevant area pre-selected, enabling a session to begin in a few steps.

Geographic coverage includes RingGo payment integration in the UK and EasyPark availability across Europe. ParkPay sits within a broader BYD mobility app, consolidating connected-car services on a single platform.
