VinFast pauses India localisation plans as costs rise

Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) maker VinFast has reportedly instructed suppliers to "hold all activities" relating to localisation of three models in India, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters. This marks a change of pace for the automaker, which started assembly in India just a year earlier with a 150,000-upa site in Tamil Nadu.
